Pros
Clear process: To begin using this app, all you need to do is copy and paste YouTube links into the main interface. You can add as many as you’d like at a time, and before you begin the downloading process, you can decide whether you’d like to keep them in their original format or convert them to AVI, MP4, WAV, or MP3.
Pause and resume: When you’re downloading multiple videos at once, it can eat up a lot of bandwidth and interfere with other things you might be trying to do. If you run into this problem, however, you can simply pause the downloads while you complete your work and then restart them again seamlessly when you’re done.
Cons
Ads: There is a large banner ad across the bottom quarter of the screen in the app’s main viewing window. This doesn’t interfere with your ability to use the app, but it does make the interface less appealing and more cluttered.
Not much Help: The Help feature really only contains very basic information about how to get started using the program. There are plenty of other features present in the drop-down menus in the main interface that are not explained at all in the Help document, which could make them all but inaccessible to novice users.
Bottom Line
Free YouTube Download is a handy basic program for downloading all the videos you’d like. The ability to download multiple videos at once is a nice plus, as is the Pause feature, and even though the Help file leaves something to be desired, the app is straightforward enough that most people will be able to use it without a problem.
